Investigation Launched Following Shooting In Lurgan

Police have launched an investigation following a shooting in Lurgan, Co Armagh.

A shot is believed to have been fired from a car in the Acorn Grove area in Craigavon on Sunday, 20 November.

Police are attempting to trace the movements of a green Subaru Impreza, possibly with a southern registration plate, which was later found burned out in the Drumgask area shortly before 8.45pm.

No-one is believed to have been injured in the incident.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Are you aware of the incident and have any information that could be of use? If so, please call Lurgan CID on 101. The incident number is 1143 of 20/10/16.

A man is in a critical condition in hospital following a shooting incident in Lurgan, County Armagh. At least 20 shots were fired through the living room window of a house in Carrigart Crescent at approximately 1:45am on Monday, 13 February. A 31-year-old man was in the house at the time and suffered a gunshot wound to his head.

Fresh Appeal For Information On Shane Whitla Murder
PSNI detectives investigating the murder of 39-year-old Shane Whitla in Lurgan have issued an appeal for information and witnesses. A post-mortem examination confirmed that Mr Whitla died of a gunshot wound to the chest. According to report, he had also suffered a serious puncture wound to his neck.

Man Injured In Lurgan Shooting
A man has been injured in a shooting in Lurgan, Co Armagh. Two shots were fired at a house in the Ashleigh Crescent area just before 11pm on Sunday, 07 May. The man sustained a cut to his neck. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
