Eight People Sick After Eating 'Cannabis Cookies' In Co Antrim

Eight people have taken ill after eating cannabis cookies in Ballymena, Co Antrim.

Paramedics had to be called following an incident in the Cushendall Road area on Sunday, 20 November.

Police seized the remaining homemade "special" cookies and a very large cannabis cigarette.

Two people were arrested for drugs offences.

Man Charged Over £16,000 Cannabis Find
A 22-year-old man has been charged after £16,000 worth of cannabis plants were seized in L'Derry. The discovery was made after police searched a house in the Waterside area on Friday, 22 September. The suspect has been accused of growing cannabis, possession of a Class B drug and intent to supply.

400 Cannabis Plants Seized In West Belfast
400 cannabis plants have been seized during a police operation in west Belfast at the weekend. The plants were seized on Sunday after officers raided the cannabis factory in the Broadway area as part of a planned search.

Eight People Detained After Cannabis Find
Police have arrested eight people after a cannabis find in a factory in County Down, close to Castlewellan. An estimated £350,000 worth of drugs was discovered on Tuesday. Two BMW's and a Mercedes were also taken. Five of the eight arrested are still being arrested.
