Responsible Business Awards 2017 Announced
Entries are now being sought for the Responsible Business Awards 2017, Business in the Community has announced.
The Awards offer the opportunity for Northern Ireland organisations to be recognised for their outstanding contributions to their people, the planet and the places where they operate.
Previous winners of the Awards have shown remarkable innovation, creativity and a sustained commitment to corporate responsibility. Not only did they demonstrate the positive impact they have had on society but also the business benefits.
The nine award categories include:
• NI Responsible Company of the Year
• Building Stronger Communities
• Diversity and Inclusion Award
• Education Award
• Employability Champion Award
• Environmental Leadership Award
• Marketplace Leadership
• One to Watch Award
• Workplace Health & Wellbeing Award
Roy Adair, Chief Executive, Belfast Harbour and Chair, Business in the Community NI, said: "We are proud to recognise and celebrate organisations that do the right thing by their people, the planet and the places where they operate. I would encourage all companies with a commitment to doing responsible business to review the categories and submit an entry. Celebrating GOOD business is a win-win for business and for wider society."
The closing date for entries is Friday 24 February 2017, and the Awards Gala Evening will take place at Belfast Waterfront Hall on Thursday 1 June 2017.

The annual awards honour the achievements and leadership of directors from sectors across Northern Ireland, with category winners then considered for the UK-wide Director of the Year Finals in London.
