FSB gear up for economic election debate
The Federation of Small Business (FSB) in Northern Ireland is gearing up for their keynote Assembly Election Debate on the Economy with a special economic question and answer session between the main political parties.
The event, which takes place in the Europa Hotel in Belfast on Thursday, will include guest speakers, Alasdair McDonnell (SDLP), David McClarty (UUP), Sean Neeson (Alliance), Jim Wells (DUP), Jane Morrice (NIWC), Francie Molloy (SF), Julian Robertson (Tories), John Barry (Greens) and John Lowry (Workers Party).
Both the UKUP and PUP have also been invited to put a speaker forward.
Speaking in advance of the Debate, FSB Parliamentary Officer, Glyn Roberts said: “So far in this election campaign we have not heard a great deal from the parties on their plans for the economy. We hope that our debate will energise and focus attention on the economic policy of the parties.”
Thursday's Question and Answer Session is open to anyone who has an interest in the economy with all 256 Assembly Candidates also invited to attend.
