Pensioners targeted in separate attacks
Three pensioners have been targeted in two separate incidents in Counties Antrim and Down last night.
In the first incident, an 82-year-old man had his money and pension books stolen from his home in Hillsborough.
Three women and a man are believed to have been involved in the burglary which occurred at around 4pm on Thursday, and which police are describing as a "distraction burglary".
Meanwhile, two brothers, aged 69 and 73, where attacked and injured after their car was hijacked in Newtownabbey last night.
One of the brothers suffered a broken nose while the other received stitches for a facial wound during the attack which occurred at around 10.30pm on Thursday.
Both men were treated in hospital following the incident.
Police have appealed for witnesses to either incident to contact them on 028 9065 0222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

Cross border search for murder gang
Police on both sides of the border are searching for an armed gang of up to four men, believed to be responsible for the death of a man in County Louth. A number of other people were also injured during what is understood to have been a number of car-jacking incidents yesterday evening.

Police have appealed for information after five pensioners were attacked and robbed in their homes during separate incidents yesterday evening. The first incident happened at around 5pm, when four men broke into the home of a 74-year-old woman in the Tansy Road in Ballinderry, County Antrim.

Police have appealed for information after two pensioners were robbed during separate incidents yesterday evening. The first robbery happened at around 3pm, when a man called to the home of man aged in his 80s in Newtownbreda Road area of Castlereagh in east Belfast.

Two pensioners have been left traumatised following separate robberies at their homes in Counties Antrim and Down last night. The first incident saw an 86-year-old woman attacked by three masked men inside her Randalstown home at around 9.30pm last night.
