Man Critical After Being Hit By Car In Co Tyrone

A man is in a critical condition in hospital after being struck by a car in Co Tyrone.

The accident happened on the Strabane Road in Newtownstewart on Monday, 24 October.

He is currently in intensive care at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

The road has been reopened.

One person dies in Co Tyrone crash
One person has died following a road traffic collision in Co Tyrone on Monday. Fire crews and ambulances were called to the scene of the crash on the Woodlough Road in Dungannon where a car and a lorry are believed to have collided. Police are appealing for witnesses of a serious road accident in Maghera, Co L'Derry, on Sunday night. A man in his 20s is in a critical condition in hospital following the two car collision on the Coleraine Road. It is understood a number of people were injured in the collision but none of them seriously.

Omagh Man Killed In Cavan Crash
A man from Omagh in Co Tyrone has been killed in a collision in the Republic of Ireland. The crash occurred on the Station Road at around 5.55pm in Co Cavan on Sunday, 31 July. The car is believed to have hit a wall and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. A post mortem examination is to be carried out.

Road Death Toll Hits Six
It has been a grim night on the roads of Ireland. A man was killed in a road accident on the Shore Road in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim early this morning and four young women were fatally injured in the west of Ireland. On top of the death of a man in Co Longford yesterday afternoon, it brings Irish fatalities to six in less than 24-hours.
