Family Escape Injury After Armed Gang Break Into Home In South Belfast

A family have escaped injury after an armed gang broke into their home in south Belfast.

The incident happened at a property in Egeria Street just after 11pm on Friday, 21 October.

A number of men, one believed to be armed with a suspected firearm, smashed a window at the property.

A man, woman and child who were in the property at the time locked themselves in a bedroom and were not injured.

Nothing is believed to have been taken.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Armed Men Ransack South Belfast Home
Three men, two armed with a crowbar and a screwdriver, have ransacked a house in south Belfast. A 26-year-old man was in the property in Melrose Street at around 11am on Saturday at the time. The intruders ordered the resident to place a pillow over his face and they ransacked the property. The men left with a laptop.

Police Appeal Following Two Armed Robberies In North And South Belfast
Police are appealing for information in connection with two armed robberies in north and south Belfast. A man, armed with a knife, threatened staff at a shop on the Ravenhill Road at around 8.20pm on Friday, 01 April. A sum of money was taken and the man got into a silver car which was parked on My Lady's Road.

Armed Man Robs Shop In South Belfast
Police have launched an investigation following an armed robbery at a shop in south Belfast. A man, believed to have been armed with a handgun, entered the premises on the Lockview Road just before 10.15pm on tuesday, 30 January. He made off with a sum of cash and a significant amount of cigarettes and scratch cards.

NI Property Prices Increase
Residential property prices in Northern Ireland increased for first time since 2007, according to a new report. The Northern Ireland Residential Property Price Index report for the second quarter of 2013 showed that between quarter one and quarter two, residential property prices increased by 2%.

Lisney named as leading property agency in NI
Belfast consultancy Lisney has been named as the leading commercial property agency in Northern Ireland by the online version of leading property journal Estates Gazette. Lisney came out on top in Northern Ireland in the EGi Deals competition, which seeks to find the most active commercial property agents in the UK.
