Suspected Stolen Goods Recovered From Van On M1 In Belfast

Police are appealing for information after suspected stolen goods were recovered from a southern registered white Transit van on the M1 in Belfast.

Around 30 bottles of whiskey and vodka were found and police are seeking to find where they came from.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "If you believe these items were stolen from your premises, please contact us in Lisburn on 101, quoting ref: 798 191016."

A 29-year-old man has been charged and appeared before Lisburn Magistrates' Court on Thursday, 20 October.

Arrests And Suspected Stolen Good Seized In L'Derry
Two men have been arrested and a quantity of suspected stolen goods have been seized by officers from the City Centre Neighbourhood Team in L'Derry. A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of six counts of theft and he remains in police custody at this time.

£1,000 Of Suspected Stolen Goods Found After 'Santa Sack' Search
Stolen goods have been discovered after police searched a man carrying a 'Santa sack' in Coleraine. The Neighbourhood Policing Team from the North Coast PSNI recovered over £1,000 of suspected stolen goods during a follow up search at the man's home address. The man has been detained by the police.

Heavy Snow Closes Over 80 Schools
Over 80 schools across Northern Ireland have been closed as the heavy snow continues to cause disruption on Tuesday morning. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning, as the snow is continuing to affect many roads. Areas which have been majorly disrupted include Lisburn, Castlereagh and Carryduff.

Three people have been arrested after police recovered suspected stolen mobile phones worth around £19,000 in Banbridge, Co Down. The PSNI conducted a proactive operation while their ANPR Intercept team were conducting patrols in the A1 area of the town on Thursday.
