Belfast Boxer Carl Frampton Confirms Rematch With Leo Santa Cruz

Belfast boxer Carl Frampton has confirmed a rematch with Mexican Leo Santa Cruz.

The Featherweight World Champion from Tigers Bay took to Twitter to make the announcement.

He wrote: "Done deal! The rematch vs @leosantacruz2 is on!!! More news to come soon #AndStill".

Frampton, 29, is the first Northern Irish boxer to hold a world two in two different weight divisions, after moving up to featherweight.

Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In East Belfast Crash
A motorcyclist is in a serious condition in hospital following a crash in east Belfast on Wednesday evening. Police received a report of a collision involving a car and a scrambler motorcycle on Bloomfield Road shortly before 5.30pm. Emergency services attended the scene, and the motorcyclist, a man in his late teens, was taken to hospital.

Investigation Launched Into Burglary In North Belfast
Detectives are appealing for information following a burglary at a flat in the Cliftonville Avenue area of North Belfast. The incident occurred sometime between 10pm on Friday 6th December and 4pm on Saturday 7th December. During the burglary, a sum of money, a wallet, and a set of speakers were stolen.

Man Injured In Belfast City Centre Assault
Detectives are investigating an assault that occurred in Belfast City Centre on Saturday, 7th December. Shortly after 4pm, police received a report that a man had been assaulted by an unknown individual in the High Street/Church Lane area. The victim sustained injuries to his face and body and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Teenagers Threaten Young Girl With Knife In West Belfast
An investigation has been launched into an incident in which a 13-year-old girl was threatened with a knife by three teenage boys in west Belfast. At around 8.15pm on Thursday 5 December, the girl was walking up the steps in the Stewartstown Road park (Páirc Nua Chollann) across from Colin Connect when she was approached by three boys.
