Man Seriously Ill After Being Found Unconscious In Co Antrim

A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being found unconscious at a house in Ballymena, Co Antrim.

The man was discovered at a property in the Dunclug Gardens area on Tuesday, 18 October.

A 40-year-old man has been arrested and is assisting police with their enquiries.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man questioned about 1988 murder
A man has been arrested in connection with police inquiries into a murder in 1988. The body of Lily Smyth, 66, was found in her flat at Moveen House in Dunmurry on October 9, 1988. The pensioner had been strangled. A police spokesperson said that a 43-year-old man had been arrested and is being questioned at Antrim Police Station.

Appeal Issued After Man Found Unconscious In Co Antrim
Police have launched an investigation after a man was found unconscious in Co Antrim. The man was found at a construction site entrance near the Shore Road area in Greenisland at around 5am on Friday morning. The man is being treated in hospital however he remains unconscious. He was last seen at around midnight in Carrickfergus.
