Students Urged To Take Part In BEA's Pre-Enterprise Support Programme
The British Enterprise Academy (BEA) is urging students who would like to set up businesses while they are studying to take part in its pre-enterprise support programme.
Belfast City Council funds the programme to help third-level education students living in the city who want to become entrepreneurs. The students take part in a business challenge residential; attend workshops to explore creative business ideas and entrepreneurial skills and receive one-to-one mentoring and support with developing a start-up action plan.
Councillor Aileen Graham, Chair of Belfast City Council's City Growth and Regeneration Committee, said: "The BEA is an award-winning, stimulating and exciting programme that encourages students to consider self-employment and develop business ideas and also emphasises the importance of entrepreneurship as a driver for our local economy.
"We believe that by developing these talented young people, we will form a strong base for the future entrepreneurs of our city and economy."
