BCC Announces Creative And Digital SME Event
Belfast City Council (BCC) is to host a panel session on convergence, disruption and innovation in the creative industries on Thursday, 29 September.
The event, to be held at the Black Box in Belfast's Cathedral Quarter, invites entrepreneurs and innovators from the Creative and Digital Industry (CDI) community to discuss and debate the opportunities and challenges for creative and digital SMEs.
The keynote speaker will be Wayne Hemingway, co-founder and former owner of Red or Dead fashion label and current CEO of Hemingway Design. He'll discuss the importance of continual innovation to his businesses, how and why he embraces change, plus his experiences of starting a business through necessity before eventually selling it in a multi-million pound deal.
Following the keynote address, there will be a debate involving an expert panel of creative innovators including Colin Williams from 16 South, Lyndon Stephens from Champion Sound and Marie Nancarrow from Titanic Denim. They’ll be discussing what is next for the CDI community in an interactive session.
Registration is open now and can be completed on the Belfast City Council website and closes at 16:00 on Wednesday, 28 September 2016.
