Footballer Niall Grace Moves Out Of Intensive Care Following Attack
Footballer Niall Grace is conscious and has been moved out of intensive care.
Niall, who plays for Institute Football Club, was assaulted in Waterloo Street in L'Derry on Sunday, 11 September.
The club released a statement which said his family has been in contact and confirmed he was making progress.
The statement said: "Whilst Niall is still showing signs of confusion and frustration, the family are hopeful that his condition will continue to improve over the coming weeks."
A man in his 20s has been charged in connection with the attack.

The body of missing Belfast man Michael Cullen has been found. His body was discovered on Cave Hill, according to his family. Michael's brother Niall confirmed the 33-year-old had been found following an extensive search campaign.

Bullets have been sent to Celtic Footballer Paddy McCourt just days after his team mate and manager received similar packages. The envelope, posted in Northern Ireland, was found by staff at a Royal Mail sorting office in Glasgow. Earlier this week bullets were sent to Celtic boss Neil Lennon and player Niall McGinn at their club.

Fermanagh gaelic footballer Mark McGovern is to return to the game after what has been described as a "miracle" recovery from a severe brain injury he suffered in 2011. The 25-year-old suffered an off-the-ball injury at a game in the United States, which left him in a coma.

The Dancing On Ice presenter was ordered by doctors to have three moles removed, from her leg, lower back, and neck and a few days after the operation she was given the relief of an all-clear.
