Invest NI Announce Packaging Design Workshop
Invest NI has announced the 1st in a series of Design Workshops to explore how design can have a positive impact on you business.
The theory is – packaging sells. But what about the practical stuff – how do you get better standout on the shelf? Is it possible to achieve eco-friendly packaging on a tight budget? Where to look for inspiration and innovation when competing in a crowded sector.
Attendees will hear how other companies have solved their packaging design issues and used the principles to strengthen their brand, contribute to customer loyalty and create a bigger market share.
It will also be exploring the key elements of packaging design:
• designing a package to be fit for purpose
• trends in packaging design
• communication through packaging
• bringing packaging ideas to life
There will be opportunities to talk to expert design professionals about making design work for your business as well as Invest NI staff explaining Innovation Vouchers, IP and other support options that could help move your business forward.

Bangor Company Creates 14 New Jobs on Back Of Web Innovations
Bangor-based company Omnisoft Services Ltd has created 14 new jobs in an expansion driven by the growth of its web design services and the development of a new product for the educational market. The expansion is being supported by Invest Northern Ireland, which has offered £44,000 of support for 11 of the jobs through its Jobs Fund scheme.
