Police Appeal After Teenager 'Suspiciously Approached' In Co Down
Police are appealing for information after a teenage girl was "suspiciously approached" in Bangor, Co Down.
The incident happened in the Castle Park Avenue area at around 5pm on Wednesday, 14 September.
Police received a report that a man attempted to speak to a 15-year-old girl several times as she was walking towards the Town Hall.
The girl did not speak to the man and left the area.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "Enquiries into this incident are currently ongoing and we are very aware of the concerns that this will raise in the local community and have increased patrols in the area. We are appealing to the man, who is described as being in his 60s, to contact Police at Bangor Police Station on 101, quoting reference number 268 of 14/09/16."

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Police Cancel Appeal For Missing Omagh Man
Police have said they believe missing Omagh man, Shane Sharkey, has been found in the Republic of Ireland. A police appeal for help in finding the 35-year-old has been cancelled, with police saying they now believe they know where he is. No further details have been released but police thanked the public for their help.

Police Appeal After Man Is Attacked In Newlodge Area
Police are appealing for information following the report of an assault in the Edlingham Street/Newlodge Road area of Belfast last Thursday. At approximately 9.30pm a male was assaulted by 4/5 unknown males. He received facial injuries which required hospital treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Man Arrested Over Murder Of George Gilmore
A 39-year-old man has been arrested by police investigating the murder of George Gilmore. Mr Gilmore, aged 44, was shot in the neck in Carrickfergus on Monday, 13 March. He died from his injuries in hospital the following day, 14 March. The suspect was detained in Co Antrim on Wednesday, 12 April, and is being questioned at Musgrave police station.
