Irish Govt To Investigate Northern Ireland NAMA Sale
The Irish Government is to discuss plans to carry out an investigation into the sale of NAMA's Northern Ireland property portfolio.
The Irish state asset agency sold the property loan portfolio to a US investment fund for £1.2billion in 2014.
A number of allegations have been made since the sale.
The Irish Government confirmed the Public Accounts Committee would examine a Comptroller and Auditor General report before a formal inquiry is launched.
Sinn Féin MLA Máirtín Ó Muilleoir said he will co-operate with the investigation.
He said: "I have written to the Irish government's Finance Minister Michael Noonan telling him that I'm looking forward to receiving a copy of the report from the Comptroller and Auditor General into the NAMA sale.
"In the letter I have reiterated that my department will co-operate and work with the investigation.
"This is a matter of huge importance north and south and it is vital that we get to the bottom of the events concerning Project Eagle."
Alliance MLA Stephen Farry said: "This is a welcome move to help establish what went on throughout this process.
"However, there is a need for discussions to be held on a cross-border basis on this matter in order that the best way to integrate the several ongoing investigations is found, and time given to explore the possibility of a single, overarching inquiry. The border cannot be allowed to prevent a full investigation into all allegations."

Adams attacks Irish justice minister
Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams has launched a scathing attack on Irish justice minister Michael McDowell claiming he wouldn't trust him "to go to the shop for a bottle of milk". Mr Adams made his remark after the Dail TD claimed the Irish Government's role within the current peace process was that of an honest broker.

Bombardier complete Learjet sale to Irish Government
Bombardier Aerospace has confirmed the sale of a new Learjet 45 light business jet to the Irish Government. The aircraft, designed for eight passengers, is scheduled for delivery in December 2003 in preparation for Ireland’s assumption of the European Union (EU) Presidency in January 2004.

Stormont's finance committee has hit out at the National Asset Management Agency (NAMA) over its refusal to give evidence on its Northern Ireland loan book sale. The committee said it does not accept Nama's rationale for not attending an oral hearing of the committee. The UK's National Crime Agency (NCA) is also investigating the sale.
