Investigation Launched After Man Snatches Pensioner's Handbag
Police have launched an investigation after a pensioner had her handbag snatched in east Belfast.
The incident happened in the Kings Square area at around 3pm on Wednesday, 14 September.
The 86-year-old woman was returning home from a shopping trip when a man snatched her bag as she was entering her house.
The suspect, believed to be in his early 20s, is described as being around 5ft 6inches in height with a slim build and dark curly hair. He was wearing a dark long sleeved t-shirt and dark trousers.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

County Armagh pensioner robbed by gang
Police have appealed for information after a pensioner was robbed by a gang in her home in County Armagh. A spokesperson for the PSNI said that a gang of up to six men broke into the home of a woman aged in her early 80s, by forcing their way through a front window of her home in the Bessbrook area at around 7pm yesterday evening.

Pensioner robbed and assaulted in Newtownabbey
Police have appealed for information following the attack and robbery of a 71-year-old woman in the Clonmore walk area of the town on Monday night. The pensioner got off a bus in Rathmore Drive at around 10.20pm and made her way in the direction of her home in nearby flats.

A pensioner has suffered injuries after a thief stole her handbag in the Shankill Road area on Thursday. The 79-year-old was knocked to the ground at around 2pm. The thief stole her handbag and made off towards the Shankill Estate. The woman is believed to have sustained a suspected dislocated arm.

Police have launched an investigation following a carjacking in south Belfast on Tuesday, 19 April. The owner of a Smart car was threatened by a man, after parking the vehicle at around 10pm in Stockmans Lane, and told to hand over his keys. The man made off in the vehicle in the direction of the motorway.
