Man 'Critical' Following Hit And Run In South Belfast

A man is in a critical condition in hospital following a hit and run collision in south Belfast.

The incident occurred on the Lisburn Road near Wellesley Avenue at around 10pm on Saturday, 10 September.

Police believe a silver coloured car may have significant frontal damage.

It is also thought the vehicle may have turned left in the direction of the Malone Road.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Armed With Screwdriver Threatens Staff In South Belfast
A man armed with a screwdriver has threatened staff at premises in south Belfast, according to the police. The suspect entered the shop on the Dublin Road at around 10.15am on Sunday, 02 May. He threatened staff and made off with a sum of cash. However, the man believed to have been involved in the incident, was detained by members of the public.
