Royal Marine Denies Charges Over Terrorism Offences
A Royal Marine from Northern Ireland has denied charges in connection with terrorism offences.
Ciarán Maxwell, 30, who is originally from Larne, was remanded in custody on Friday, 02 September, charged with manufacturing explosives and constructing explosive devices in England and Northern Ireland.
He has also been charged with possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply.
Earlier this year, police uncovered a "significant terrorist hide" at Carnfunnock Country Park in March.
Explosives and bomb parts were also found in May at Capanagh Forest.

Willie Frazer Arrested For Bail Breach
Prominent loyalist campaigner Willie Frazer has been arrested for breaching his bail conditions. The 52-year-old was arrested on Monday at about 19:30 in the Portadown area. He is expected to appear in court today. Bail conditions were imposed following charges linked to union flag protests earlier in the year.

The Department for Regional Development has initiated an eight week consultation exercise on the initial water charges scheme for 2007/08. This scheme will apply to Northern Ireland Water Limited – the government owned company which will be set up on April 1 2007.

Two men are to appear in court today charged with possession of explosives. The charges are in relation to a security alert at a children's play park in the Lagmore estate area in west Belfast which occurred early on Saturday morning (1 February).
