Man Arrested Following Police Searches In Belfast
A man in his 30s has been arrested following several police searches in Belfast.
The searches were carried out in the Shankill area on Friday morning, 02 September.
They are part of an "ongoing commitment to tackle the supply of illegal drugs in the Belfast area", according to a PSNI spokesperson.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A controlled drugs.
He is being questioned at Musgrave Police Station.

The National Crime Agency (NCA) and officers from the PSNI's Paramilitary Crime Task Force (PCTF) searched three residential properties as part of an ongoing investigation into the importation and supply of class A drugs.

A 54-year-old man has been arrested after police seized drugs worth an estimated street value of £15,000 and a suspected firearm. Police discovered the drugs and firearm during two house searches in east Belfast on Thursday and the search of a car in north Belfast on Wednesday. The man has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

The items were found during the search of two properties in the area on Monday, 05 September. The 30-year-old suspect is being questioned at a police station in Belfast. Investigations are ongoing.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
