Man Critical Following Stabbing Attack In West Belfast
A man is in a critical condition in hospital after being stabbed in west Belfast.
The attack happened in the Britton's Parade area on Saturday, 26 August.
It is believed he was stabbed in the chest several times.
A man has been remanded in custody charged with attempted murder.
SDLP West Belfast MLA Alex Attwood condemned the attack.
He said: "The thoughts of everyone in this community are with the victim's friends and friends. Everybody hopes that the man, currently critically ill in hospital, makes a full recovery.
"As with all such incidents, local people are deeply upset. Everyone must now be focussed on helping the police ensure that the full circumstances of this attack are investigated and appropriate action taken."

Police are investigating an attack in which a man was stabbed a number of times in West Belfast. The attack took place at Albert Street off the Falls Road on Saturday. The victim's injuries are not thought to be life threatening. A police spokesperson said that a 19-year-old man was arrested. A knife has been removed for forensic tests.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

PSNI Appeal For Information After Cars Set Alight In North Belfast
The PSNI have appealed for information after four cars were set alight in north Belfast. Police say the suspected arson attack happened at around 22:30 on Tuesday night on the Whitewell Road. It is understood no one was injured in the incidents.
