Police Launch Appeal To Trace Nurse Who Helped At Scene Of Fatal Collision

Police have launched an appeal to trace a nurse who helped at the scene of a fatal road crash in Co Tyrone in July.

A man in his 20s died after a silver Peugeot he was travelling in hit a bridge on Longland Road in Donemana at approximately 7.20am on Friday, 22 July.

Another man who was also in the vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are also trying to trace the driver and passengers of a Ford Rodeo pick-up truck which they believe travelling ahead of the vehicles involved in the crash.

Inspector Colin Hamilton said: "I want to stress that these people are not under any suspicion of wrongdoing but we would very much like to speak to them as they may have important information that could assist with our investigation.

"If you were in the Ford Rodeo that day or were the nurse that stopped to help please call 101 quoting reference 204 22/07/16."
