Invest NI Announces 'Opportunities in Egypt' Event
Invest NI has announced an 'Opportunities in Egypt' event, which will explore the opportunities and highlight the support available in this "emerging import dependent market offering a multitude of export opportunities for local companies".
Egypt has the largest population and the third largest economy in the Arab World after Saudi and UAE – already two significant markets for Northern Ireland companies.
Strategically, Egypt sits at the crossroads of Africa, Asia and Europe, overlooking the Red Sea and the Mediterranean. The Suez Canal is a significant and strategic trade route, positioning Egypt as a major hub for global trade.
The opportunities include:
• Infrastructure – Suez Canal, ports, roads, railways and housing
• Equipment – materials handling and transportation
• Defence and Security
• Renewables
• Oil and Gas
• Transportation
• Agri-Tech
• Education
• Retail
• Healthcare
The information event is scheduled to take place on Friday, 09 September at Parliament Buildings, Stormont.
By attending this event you will find out:
• about the political and economic situation
• latest information on the business environment and trade opportunities
• how to maximise trade opportunities
• what finance opportunities there are
• what support is available from Invest NI
