Investigation Launched After Gang Attack Three Men In East Belfast

Police have launched an investigation after a gang armed with bats forced their way into a house in east Belfast and attacked three teenage men.

The incident happened at a property in McArthur Court at around 9am on Sunday, 31 July.

The gang of four men attacked three males, two aged 18 and one aged 19.

The victims sustained injuries to their head and body and were treated in hospital.

Detective Constable Whyte said: "I would appeal to anyone who has any information that can assist with the investigation to call detectives at Musgrave on 101 quoting reference 493 31/07/16.

"Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Three men beaten in separate incidents
A teenager was abducted from his home in County Tyrone last night in what police have described as bearing the "hallmarks of a paramilitary-style attack". The 16-year-old youth was in his home in O'Nolan Park in Strabane when a masked gang entered the house at around 11.10pm.

Three People Injured In Racist Attack
Three people have been left injured after they were attacked by a gang earlier this week. The incident, which happened at Lawnmount Street in east Belfast, is being treated as a race hate crime, police have said. Between 9pm and 9.30pm, two men in their early 20s and a 19-year-old woman were attacked by a gang of around 15 people.
