Investigation Launched After Firework Thrown At House In South Belfast
Police have launched an investigation after a firework was thrown at a house in south Belfast.
The incident happened in Cooke Street just before 4am on Sunday, 21 August.
A man who was in the house at the time was not injured.
The front window of the house was smashed and smoke damage was caused after the firework partially exploded.
Police removed the firework for forensic examination.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Mother and son escape injury in firework attack
A woman and her eight-year-old son have been left "badly shaken" after a firework was thrown through the kitchen window of their Co Tyrone home on Sunday. It is understood a stone was used to break a rear window before the firework was thrown into the house at Northland Village, Dungannon, causing damage to the kitchen.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Belfast Hotel Plan Dropped: Report
A government-supported plan to build a hotel in central Belfast has been scrapped, the BBC has reported. Back in 2007, the Department for Social Development appointed Tullymore House Ltd as preferred developer for Armagh House in the city’s Ormeau Avenue, with plans to convert the building into an upmarket hotel.
