Woman And Children Escape Injury Following Arson Attack In South Belfast

A woman and three children have escaped injury after an arson attack in south Belfast.

The attack happened at a property in the Ormeau Embankment area at around 6.20am on Saturday, 13 August.

Flammable liquid was poured through the letterbox of the house and damage was caused to the inside and outside of the front door.

Emergency services attended the scene and put out the blaze.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

PSNI Appeal For Information After Cars Set Alight In North Belfast
The PSNI have appealed for information after four cars were set alight in north Belfast. Police say the suspected arson attack happened at around 22:30 on Tuesday night on the Whitewell Road. It is understood no one was injured in the incidents.

Family's Fire Escape Plan Praised
A family had a lucky escape last night when they had to flee from an arson attack in south Belfast. The ground floor of the property, at Florenceville Drive, off the Ormeau Road, was targeted at around 3am on Wednesday, trapping the woman and her three teenage children upstairs.
