Cyclist Injured In Suspected Hit And Run In L'Derry

Police are appealing for information after a cyclist was injured in a suspected hit and run in Co L'Derry.

A man, aged 73, was found lying on the Shore Road in Ballyronan at around 10.30pm on Saturday, 06 August.

He is currently being treated in hospital.

Constable Kernohan said: "The cyclist was wearing a white and black coloured top and cycling shorts. A gun metal grey helmet, black and lime green gloves, silver rimmed glasses and white cycle shoes. If you believe you saw this male or have any information that can help us, please call police in Magherafelt on 101 quoting reference 793 of 06/08/16."

The funeral of the teenage cyclist killed when his bicycle was struck buy a car was held on Friday. The private funeral service for 16-year-old Thomas McDonald took place from his home in the White City area of Newtownabbey. Appeal For Information After Cyclist Dies In Portadown
Police have issued an appeal for information following a fatal collision in Portadown. A male cyclist died after he was involved in a collision with a Hyundai Tuscon car on the Gilford Road on Wednesday night shortly after 9.35pm. Emergency services treated the man at the scene but he is said to have died as a result of his injuries.

Cyclist Attacked In Belfast City Centre
Police are appealing for information after a cyclist was attacked in Belfast city centre. The assault happened close to the junction of Waring Street and Victoria Street at around 2.30pm on Monday, 06 August. The cyclist, aged in his 20s, was kicked off his bike and punched and kicked on the ground. He sustained a head injury.

Appeal Issued After Hit-And-Run Incident In South Belfast
Police are appealing for information following a hit-and-run incident in south Belfast. A cyclist was struck by a silver/grey car in the Annadale Avenue/Saintfield Road area between 11am and 11.25am on Monday, 27 November. The cyclist is being treated in hospital for injuries.
