Omagh Man Killed In Cavan Crash
A man from Omagh in Co Tyrone has been killed in a collision in the Republic of Ireland.
The crash occurred on the Station Road at around 5.55pm in Co Cavan on Sunday, 31 July.
The car is believed to have hit a wall and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post mortem examination is to be carried out.
The driver of the car is being treated at Cavan General Hospital and a second passenger was taken to St James' Hospital in Dublin.
The Station Road remains closed and an investigation has launched.

Road Tragedies Probed
The New Year road toll rose yesterday with a man being killed in a collision between a car and a flat-bed lorry in Co Antrim. The tragedy happened on the main road from Larne to Belfast, at Ballynure at about 3pm and also left a woman in a serious condition in hospital.

As Belfast comes to terms with the shocking death of a teenage girl in Belfast - knocked down and trapped by a bus in Royal Avenue at teatime last night - the driver from Northern Ireland who died in a car crash across the border has been named. The fatality was in Co Monaghan and followed an accident on the N54 before lunchtime yesterday.

Arrest Follows Cavan Road Death
Gardaí investigating the fatal road death of a NI man have arrested a 21-year-old suspect. The arrest took place in the Kingscourt area of Cavan and the man is currently detained under Section 4 Criminal Justice Act at Bailieboro Garda station.
