Lethal Traps Laid On Bike Trail In North Belfast

Pictures on social media have revealed potentially lethal traps set on a bike trail in north Belfast.

Fishing line was discovered between trees on a trail on Cavehill and logs were also pulled onto the track.

PSNI Inspector Roy Burnside added: "Whoever was responsible could have caused serious injury or worse to anyone using the track, had this wire not been found by a member of the public, who I commend for his vigilance."

Police have launched an investigation and are are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Inca Trail Trekkers Raise £40,000
A Belfast girl who trekked the Inca Trail and sent her sponsorship money to charity said it was a "powerful experience". Natasha Walsh was part of a group of 13 who raised more than £40,000 for the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children, a charity for children with cancer and their families.

North Belfast Shop Targeted By Men Armed With Knife
Staff at a north Belfast shop have been left shaken after two men, one armed with a knife, threatened to rob the premises this morning, 13 March. The culprits entered the shop on the Antrim Road at around 6.45am and threatened staff before fleeing the scene empty handed. No-one was injured in the incident.
