Police Appeal Following Suspicious Death Of Woman In Co Down
Police have issued an appeal for information following the suspicious death of a woman in Newtownards, Co Down.
Joanne Thompson, aged 33, was found at her home by a relative in Old Mill Court on Wednesday, 13 July.
Detective Inspector Chris Wilson said: "We are making enquiries into events leading up to Joanne being found and are making two specific appeals for help from the local community.
"The first is to people who attended a bonfire in the West Winds estate at Dakota Avenue on the Eleventh Night. We want to hear from anyone who witnessed any disturbance or altercation at the bonfire.
"The second appeal is to anyone who noticed any activity around Joanne's home at Old Mill Court between 9pm on Tuesday 12 July and 11am on Wednesday 13 July."

Police have issued an appeal to help trace a missing woman from Co antrim. Joanne Rawlinson, aged 29, was last seen at around noon on Tuesday, 23 January. She may have travelled to the Republic of Ireland, according to the PSNI.

Renewed Appeal On East Belfast Assault On 11 July
Police have renewed an appeal for information and witnesses following a report of an assault of a man, aged in his 60s, on the morning of Thursday, 11 July, near Clarawood Estate. It was reported that at around 11am, the man was walking his dog in an area known locally as 'Marsh Wiggle' when he was assaulted by an unknown male.

5,532 Driving Tests Conducted In July 2021
The Driver and Vehicle Agency (DVA) conducted 5,532 driving tests in July 2021, 53% higher than the five year July average, according to the latest 'DVA Monthly Tests Conducted Statistics'. Following the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, driver testing was able to resume from 23 April 2021 onwards.
