Plans For MTV Music Event In Belfast Dropped

Plans for an MTV music event due to be hosted in Belfast this September have been dropped by Belfast City Council (BCC).

MTV had reportedly been in discussions to host an event in Belfast which would have brought some of the biggest names in the music business to the city.

However, BCC said the event has now been dropped.

A spokesperson said: "The MTV gig planned for September is not going ahead due to a number of other competing music events during the same month."
