Man Charged With Drugs Offences After Being Arrested In England

A man has been charged in connection with drugs offences after being arrested in England on Wednesday, 06 July.

The 41-year-old suspect is due to appear at Londonderry Magistrates Court today, 08 July.

He has been charged with encouraging or assisting offences linked to the supply of class A drugs and money laundering.

One tonne of benzocaine, which can be used as a bulking agent for cocaine, was uncovered in the Grimsby area during searches which were conducted with assistance from Humberside police.

Four people have been charged with class A drugs offences following arrests made on Friday (30 August). Two men, aged 54 and 20, and a 42-year-old woman who are all from Liverpool, and a 35-year-old man from Antrim have been charged with the possession of Class A drugs and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.

Elderly Man Accused Of Raping Minor
A 67-year-old man is to appear in court today, charged with raping and indecently assaulting a minor. The man was detained by police yesterday. It is believed the alleged offences took place in east Belfast between 2005 and 2006. The man is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court this morning, police said.

Man Charged With Manslaughter
A man has been charged with manslaughter following the death of a 51-year-old man in Newry. The man died in the Dublin Road area on Wednesday, 17 January. The 32-year-old suspect has also been charged with drugs offences including possession of heroin with intent to supply. He is due to appear before Newry Magistrates Court on Thursday, 18 January.

Man Arrested On Drugs Offences After Sudden Death In Ballycastle
A man has been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences following the sudden death of a man in Ballycastle, Co Antrim. The body of a man, aged in his 20s, was discovered at a house in the Carnduff Park area on Thursday, 19 January. A post-mortem examination is to be carried out to determine the cause of death.
