Two Men Targeted In Racist Attack In L'Derry
Two men have been targeted in a racist attack in L'Derry.
The incident happened in Waterloo Place on Tuesday night.
A gang of up to 20 youths followed the two individuals shouting racial abuse.
One of the victims was assaulted by the gang as he was walking through the city centre. He was attacked again in the Sackville Street area by a female who was with the group.
The men were left badly shaken.
An 18-year-old was arrested, however he has been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).
Sinn Féin MLA Raymond McCartney condemned the attack.
He said: "There can be no place for racism, sexism, sectarianism, homophobia or any form of discrimination in our society.
"Derry is known across the world for its friendly welcome for everyone and this is not reflective of the city.
"I would call on anyone with information on this incident to bring it forward to the PSNI."

Two arrested over "suspected racist attack"
Police in County Down have appealed for information following a suspected racist attack on a house in the early hours of this morning. At around 4.45am, paint was thrown and windows were broken at the house in the Copelands Park area of Bangor, which is understood to have been occupied by three Lithuanian nationals at the time.

Three People Injured In Racist Attack
Three people have been left injured after they were attacked by a gang earlier this week. The incident, which happened at Lawnmount Street in east Belfast, is being treated as a race hate crime, police have said. Between 9pm and 9.30pm, two men in their early 20s and a 19-year-old woman were attacked by a gang of around 15 people.

Four men arrested following racist attack
Police believe an attack on three men in south Belfast last night was racially motivated. The incident occurred in the Botanic area of the city at about 11.30pm when the men were set upon by up to four people. The victims suffered cuts and bruises following the assault at a nearby hospital. Four men were subsequently arrested by police.

Two Properties Damaged In Racist Attack
Two houses have been damaged during a racist attack by a gang of men in north Belfast. The men approached the homes of two Polish families at Mountcollyer Avenue on Monday at approximately 8pm. One of the men is believed to have been carrying a pick axe. Windows were smashed at the properties during the attack.

A County Down family were targeted in a racist attack on Tuesday, 03 October, that has been condemned by Alliance councillor Karen Douglas as having no place in society. A house in Bangor's Primacy Park was the target with three windows broken and racist graffiti sprayed on the walls.
