Four People Convicted Of Benefit Fraud
Four people have been convicted for claiming benefits they were not entitled to at Craigavon Magistrates' Court.
Marie McCreesh claimed Jobseeker's Allowance totalling £2,575 while failing to declare capital. She was given an absolute discharge.
David McConville claimed Jobseeker's Allowance totalling £6,556 while failing to declare an occupational pension. He was given a three year conditional discharge.
David Wright claimed Jobseeker's Allowance totalling £6,363 while failing to declare employment. He was given a three year conditional discharge.
Brian Marshall claimed Employment and Support Allowance, Jobseeker’s Allowance and Housing Benefit totalling £4,430 while failing to declare employment. He was given a two month prison sentence suspended for 18 months.
Threats Issued To Maintenance Workers In North Belfast
Threats have been issued to maintenance staff carrying out work in the New Lodge area in north Belfast.
Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) employees and contractors working on the Seven Towers have been forced to stop work after being threatened and intimidated.
Sinn Féin MLA Carál Ní Chuilín is calling for the threats to be lifted immediately.
She said: "These workers are carrying our much-needed maintenance work on social housing and should be allowed to go about their business without fear of threats or intimidation.
"These threats have led to work being stopped which means residents are being kept in fuel poverty by the actions of those responsible.
"Those behind these threats do not have the support of the local area and in fact at war with the community."
Recruitment Campaign Launches For Warrenpoint Harbour Authority
A recruitment campaign has launched to appoint two non-executive members to Warrenpoint Harbour Authority.
The competition aims to appoint members who will bring his or her experience and judgement to the Board and help develop the diversity of the Board and be representative of the society they serve.
Infrastructure Minister Chris Hazzard said: "These key posts offer an excellent opportunity for individuals to make a tangible and valued contribution to the management of the important port.
"I would encourage anyone who considers that they meet the criteria and can bring with them a genuine desire to make a contribution to the work of the Port to seriously considering applying."
The appointments will be effective from 01 November 2016 and will run for a period of four years.

Woman Convicted Over £28,000 Benefit Fraud
A woman has been convicted at Newtownards Magistrates' Court for claiming almost £30,000 in benefits she was not entitled to. 55-year-old Mary McCluskey of Steel Dickson Avenue, Portaferry, County Down, claimed Housing Benefit, Income Support and Carers Allowance totalling £28,360 while failing to declare she was living abroad.

Criminals Sentenced For Benefit Fraud
A man was convicted at Belfast Magistrates' court on Wednesday for claiming benefits he was not entitled to. Raymond Crooks, 52, of Bentinck Street, Belfast was given three months imprisonment suspended for two years and ordered to pay court costs of £22 for wrongful encashment of Employment Support Allowance totalling £173.

He was fined £500 and ordered to pay court costs of £34.
