Police Issue Fresh Appeal Following Fatal Crash In Co Fermanagh

Police have issued a fresh appeal for information after a pensioner was killed in a one vehicle collision in Co Fermanagh earlier this month.

Cyril McGhee, 78, was killed after the car he was driving left the Gardiners Road in Tempo and hit a tree on Sunday, 19 June.

PSNI Inspector Keir Kitt said: "Cyril McGhee was the driver of a white Suzuki Celeron car which left the road and struck a tree around midday on Sunday June 19.

"Mr McGhee sadly died as result of the collision and two passengers were treated in hospital for their injuries."

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Police Appeal After Car Left 'Unidentifiable' Following Blaze
Police are appealing for information after arsonists set a car on fire in Portadown and the vehicle has been left with "no unidentifiable features". The attack took place in the Woodside Green area at around 10.40pm on Monday, 31 July. A PSNI spokesperson said: "Due to the heat of the blaze, there are no identifiable features left on the car.

Man Killed In County Armagh Road Crash
Police have issued appeal for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in County Armagh. A man, aged in his 60s, has died after his car left the road and collided with a tree on the Bessbrook Road near Markethill on Thursday, 11 January. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. There was no one else in the vehicle at the time of the collision.

Police Appeal After Stolen Car Involved In West Belfast Collision
Police are appealing for information after a stolen car was involved in a crash in west Belfast. The silver Vauxhall Zafira collided with three other cars on the Falls Road at around 8pm on Monday. It is believed the car was stolen during a creeper burglary in Servia Street.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Police appeal for witness into fatal car accident
Police are appealing for a woman who stopped at the scene of a car accident which claimed the lives of three teenagers last Friday to contact them. Michael McManus, 19, Caomh McCarthy, 19, and Stephen Haughey, 17, died when the Peugeot 307 they were travelling in collided with a lorry on the Belfast Road near Newry, shortly after midnight.
