Man Treated For Shock Following House Fire In Co Antrim

A man is being treated for shock following a fire at a house in Co Antrim.

The blaze started shortly before noon today, 30 June, at a bungalow in Crumlin.

The fire spread to a nearby oil tank and a number of residents have been evacuated from their homes.

The Manse Road remains closed in both directions and motorists are being urged to seek an alternative route.

ASSEMBLY CREATE AWARD TO HONOUR FIRE SERVICE
THE Northern Ireland Fire Service is to receive the first ever award given by the province's devolved assembly. An illuminated scroll is to be presented to Chief Fire Officer John McClelland on Tuesday, by assembly speaker Lord Alderdice in tribute to the sacrifice made by fire fighters over the years.

Fatal House Fire In Newtownards
A woman in her 30s has died in a fire at a house in Newtownards, Co. Down. The fire occurred at a house in Ilex Avenue at around 5.30pm and the woman is reported to have died at the scene. An investigation into the circumstances of the death is being conducted by police who have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

Man Dies In Co.Antrim House Fire
An elderly man has died in a house fire in County Antrim last night. The man believed to be in sixties died when a fire broke out at his home on the Bush Road between Ballymoney and Dervock at around 9pm on Tuesday.

Elderly Couple Escape Injury After House Fire In Co Antrim
An elderly couple have escaped injury following a house fire in Co Antrim. The blaze occurred at a property on the Maghereagh Road at around 10am on Monday, 22 August. Two fire appliances from Antrim station and Ballymena station attended the scene. The man was treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation. Extensive damage was caused to the property.
