NI Rock Guitarist Henry McCullough Dies

NI rock guitarist Henry McCullough has died, aged 72.

Mr McCullough, who grew up in Co L'Derry, recorded with a number of musicians including Sir Paul McCartney.

On his website, Paul McCartney wrote: "I was very sad to hear that Henry McCullough, our great Wings guitarist, passed away today. He was a pleasure to work with, a super-talented musician with a lovely sense of humour. The solo he played on 'My Love' was a classic that he made up on the spot in front of a live orchestra. Our deepest sympathies from my family to his."

Arson Attack On Mural Being Treated As 'Hate Crime'
Police are treating an arson attack on a mural in north Belfast as a hate crime. The John Henry Patterson mural on Northumberland Street was damaged after two containers of accelerant were set alight. The incident happened at around 1.30am on Thursday, 09 June.

Henry Joy Parade - Loyalist Protest Allowed
20 people will be allowed to take part in two loyalists protests planned in opposition to a Henry Joy McCracken memorial parade next week. Seven bands and 500 people are expected to take part in the parade, which will be led by the Henry Joy McCracken flute band on Sunday 25 August.
