Two Teens Rescued From 50ft Crane In Coleraine

Two teenage boys have been rescued from a 50ft crane in Coleraine, L'Derry.

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) were alerted to the scene at Pates Lane and an aerial ladder was used to bring the 14-year-old and 16-year-old to safety.

Group Commander Max Joyce told BBC Radio Ulster: "Our main concern was the youths at the top so we had to ensure that they were safe all the way through.

"I would use this opportunity to appeal to young people not to be climbing up onto cranes."
