Four Men Arrested Following Vehicle Search In Co Antrim

Four men have been arrested following a vehicle search in Co Antrim.

A Citroen Berlingo was stopped and searched by police in the Tully Road area in Crumlin at around 2.45pm on Saturday, 11 June.

A small amount of suspected cocaine was discovered.

Four men, aged 34, 36, 37 and 44, were arrested on suspicion of possessing criminal property. The 37-year-old man was further arrested on suspicion of possession of a class A controlled drug.

Inspector Gawley said: "Follow up searches in the Belfast area uncovered a quantity of suspected cannabis resin valued at around £1,000. The men remain in custody at this time.

"I would appeal to anyone with information about any illegal activity to contact Police on 101 to assist us in our efforts to thwart those who seek to gain from their criminal activity."

Attempted Carjacking In West Belfast
Police are investigating an attempted carjacking in west Belfast on Tuesday, November 19th. At around 5:30pm, a man entered a parked car at Hillhead Court and attempted to steal it. A woman passenger was assaulted when she resisted the man's demands. The suspect, described as a man in his 20s wearing all black, fled the scene on foot.

Detectives from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force have made a significant drug seizure in Omagh. Officers searched a van in the Doogary Road area on Thursday morning, 21st November, and recovered a substantial quantity of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of £750,000.

Four Released After Woman Injured In Co Tyrone
Four people have been released on bail pending further enquiries after a woman was injured in a house in Co Tyrone. Three men, aged 24, 25 and 34, and a woman, aged 29, were arrested following an incident in the Mourne Crescent area on Monday, 14 November. The injured woman is being treated in hospital.

Pedestrian Injured In Belfast Hit-and-Run
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a hit-and-run incident in the Botanic Avenue area of Belfast in the early hours of Thursday morning. Officers were called to the scene shortly before 1.30am after a male pedestrian was struck by a maroon Mazda. Despite being injured, the pedestrian left the area before police arrived.

Men Arrested In Connection With Right-Wing Extremism Released
Four men arrested in connection with right-wing extremism have been released. The men, aged 29, 30, 36 and 46, were arrested following house searches in Ballymena and Coleraine on Wednesday, 26 October. The men have been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).
