Arson Attack On Mural Being Treated As 'Hate Crime'
Police are treating an arson attack on a mural in north Belfast as a hate crime.
The John Henry Patterson mural on Northumberland Street was damaged after two containers of accelerant were set alight.
The incident happened at around 1.30am on Thursday, 09 June.
Chief Inspector Gavin Kirkpatrick said: "The incident is being treated as a hate crime and police would like to hear from anyone with information or anyone who was in the area and noticed anything or anyone suspicious."

Polish Residents Attacked In Latest Hate Crime
Two Polish residents of east Belfast have become the latest victims of a spate of racist hate crimes in the city, after the living room window of their house on Templemore Avenue was smashed at 23:30 on Monday night. A man in his 20s and a woman in her 40s were in the house at the time.

Further Race-Related Hate Crime Takes Place In Belfast
Police dealt with a number of race-related hate crime, incidents and disorder last night (8 August) in south and east Belfast. In south Belfast, car was set on fire and a window of a house was broken into on Benburb Street. Windows of a house were also smashed in Kilburn Street.

Memorial Attack Treated As 'Hate Crime'
Red paint has been thrown on a memorial to three Scottish soldiers at White Brae on the Ligoniel Road. Police said they are treating the vandalism as a hate crime and are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward. The attack is believed to have happened sometime between 18:00 on Saturday and 17:00 on Sunday.
