DHL Belfast in customer service success

Staff at the Belfast branch of a leading logistics company were celebrating today after gaining the runner-up spot in the UK's "most prestigious" customer service awards.

DHL Belfast also beat off stiff competition from hundreds of UK companies to be commended in the business to business category of the 2003 Service Excellence Awards, organised by Unisys in association with Management Today magazine.

Jim Finn, sales manager at DHL Belfast, said: "We've always considered the Service Excellence Awards to be one of the most rigorous assessments of service quality so we're delighted to have done so well.

"It's a testament to our commitment to providing our customers with service excellence."

The judging panel said that they were impressed with DHL's "segmented" approach to its customer base, recognising the different needs of occasional, regular and 'advantage' customers and tailoring its services to meet these needs.
