Employers Invited To Apply for NI CEP Funding
Eligible employers are invited to apply for funding to help recruit creative apprentices and interns.
The Northern Ireland Creative Employment Programme (NI CEP) offers financial incentives for eligible employers to create specialist apprenticeships and internships.
Eligible employers are those working across the Arts Council of Northern Ireland's footprint of music, dance, drama, literature, visual arts, craft, festivals, arts venues, community arts, galleries, museums, circus and carnival acts.
Employers may be eligible for:
• up to £5,000 to recruit apprentices (aged 16 to 24) for a minimum of two years
• up to £1,500 to help support interns (aged 18 to 24) for a minimum of 26 weeks
The current round of funding closes on Friday 10 June 2016, with further funding rounds to close on Friday 19 August 2016 and Friday 28 October 2016.
The programme is funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and administered byCreative & Cultural Skills.

Bank of England holds UK interest rate at 4%
The Bank of England has held the main UK interest rate at 4% for the twelfth consecutive month. This is despite a larger than anticipated cut by the US Federal Reserve. Leading economists were split on whether or not interest rates would or should be dropped.
