Teenager Attacked In North Belfast

Police have launched an investigation after a masked gang, believed to be armed with a gun, attacked a teenager in north Belfast.

The incident happened at a house in the Kinnaird Street area on Saturday night, 04 June.

The 19-year-old victim sustained a cut to his neck and bruising. A woman who was in the house at the time was not injured.

Sinn Fein MLA Gerry Kelly condemned the attack.

Mr Kelly said: "There is no place for these type of attacks in our community and they need to end.

"Those responsible offer nothing to society and are at war with the community.

"Anyone with information on this attack should bring it forward to the PSNI."

House Attacked In North Belfast
Police are treating a house attack as a racist hate crime after oil was thrown over a property in north Belfast. The incident happened in the North King Street area between 8am and 5.30pm on Wednesday. No-one was in the house at the time, however the front window and the door were damaged. Sinn Féin MLA Gerry Kelly condemned the attack.

Teenagers Arrested After Disorder In New Lodge
Two teenagers have been arrested following various incidents of anti-social behaviour in the New Lodge area of north Belfast. Police have released a statement warning youths of their behaviour and assuring residents they are allocating extra resources to the north of the city.
