Extra Time To Question Man Over Murders
Detectives from the Legacy Investigation Branch have been granted additional time to question a 65-year-old man in connection with two murders and other serious crimes.
It is understood the incidents took place in Belfast in the late 80s and early 90s.
The man was arrested in Belfast on 31 May and police have now been granted an additional 80 hours for questioning.
Detective Inspector Neil McGuinness, from Legacy Investigation Branch, said: "The 65-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murders of John Benedict Devine in the Fallswater Street area of West Belfast on 23 July, 1989, and the murder of John Joseph Gerard O'Hara in the Dunluce Avenue area of South Belfast on 17 April, 1991. He has also been arrested in relation to a number of other serious crimes. The man currently remains in custody assisting us with our enquiries."

Man Arrested Following Incident At House In Coleraine
A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident at a house in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. It happened at a property on Knockantern Grove in the Mountsandel area on Tuesday, 16 August. The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of possessing of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an offence and assault on police.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Three men have been arrested by detectives investigating the murder of two Catholic workmen almost 20 years ago. In May 1994, Gary Convie, 24, and 44-year-old Eamon Fox were sitting in their car at a building site in North Queen Street, Belfast, when a gunman opened fire. The two men were shot dead by the Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF).

A man has been arrested on suspicion of intimidation and criminal damage. A number of attacks on homes and cars have forced families to leave the Ballysillan area of north Belfast. A 26-year-old man was arrested and he is helping police with their enquiries.
