Two Men Released In Relation To Fraud Investigation

Two men have arrested by the National Crime Agency (NCA) in connection with a fraud investigation linked to a property deal in Northern Ireland have been released on bail.

The men were arrested following searches in the Co Down area.

The investigation, which is being carried out by the NCA, is in relation to the National Asset Management Agency (Nama) selling its Northern Ireland portfolio to Cerberus for £1.2 billion in 2014.

Murder Investigation Launched Into Disappearance Of Damien Heagney
The PSNI's Major Investigation Team have launched a murder investigation into the disappearance of 47-year-old Damien Heagney from Cookstown. Mr Heagney was reported missing on Tuesday 19 July and police have said that they are "keeping an open mind" they now believe that he has been murdered.

Two Men Arrested Over Attempted Murder Of Police Officer
Two men have been arrested following the attempted murder of a police officer who has a fireball bomb planted in her car in L'Derry. The suspects, aged 36 and 26, are being detained under the Terrorism Act.

Two Arrested Over Malcolm McKeown Murder
Detectives investigating the murder of Malcolm McKeown at a petrol station in Co Down have made two arrests. The 54 year-old father of three was found slumped in his car after being shot six times outside Dewart's Garage in Waringstown on Monday 19 August.
