NI Housing Association To Develop Over 50 Homes In South Belfast
A housing association in Northern Ireland is to develop over 50 new homes in south Belfast.
Clanmil Housing is to build 55 new social homes in the Annadale Embankment area.
Green Party Deputy Leader, Clare Bailey MLA, welcomed the announcement.
She said: "Not only is Clanmill creating secure, affordable homes, they are investing in the local economy through job creation.
"Given that 60% of Northern Ireland's privately rented houses are in South Belfast, with 50% of those houses yet to be registered on the landlords’ register, Clanmill’s social housing strategy is badly needed.
"A house should be a home, not just a roof over your head. Clanmill Housing Association should be commended for their building programme."
