'Explore Enterprise' With The Prince's Trust
Unemployed people aged between 18 and 30 who would like to start a business are being invited to 'explore enterprise with the Prince's Trust'.
The Prince's Trust explore enterprise programme aims to help thousands of small businesses get off the ground, offering a package of cash, mentoring and practical support, including business plan writing workshops and financial planning.
Participants in the project are provided with:
• An information session where you can find out what the enterprise programme can do for you
• Free four-day explore enterprise workshops, which will help you with ideas and tips on how to start your own business
• Support with writing your business plan
• Test marketing grants of up to £250
• Financial support to start your business including loans up to £7,500 and grants up to £1,500 (conditions apply)
• Up to two years' support from a volunteer business mentor.
The Explore Enterprise course is for people who are aged 18-30 and:
• Are interested in setting up their own business, but haven't hit on the right idea yet
• Have a business idea they want help to explore
• Are unemployed or working less than 16 hours a week.

2016 Apprentice Of The Year Competition Launches
Employment and Learning Minister Dr Stephen Farry today launched the 2016 Apprentice of the Year competition. Nominations are now open for the three award categories; Apprentice of the Year Award, Higher Level Apprentice of the Year Award and the Innovation in Partnership Award for Employers and Training Suppliers.
