Assault Of Teenage Girl Being Treated As 'Sectarian Hate Crime'
Police are treating the assault of a teenage girl in the Falls Park area on Saturday night as a sectarian hate crime.
The girl was walking in the Falls Park area of the Falls Road at about 21:00 on Saturday 14 May when she was assaulted by a group of unknown females.
Inspector Kelly Moore has appealed to anyone who was in the area and who may have witnessed this assault to contact police at Woodbourne PSNI Station on the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Afghanistan Veteran On Rape Charge
A bomb-blasted former soldier has appeared in court in Belfast charged with rape and false imprisonment. Gerald Verner, 23, of Forthriver Park, who was deafened by a bomb in Afghanistan, is also accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm, sexual assault and threats to kill against the same woman.

Appeal For Information After Serious Assault In Ballycastle
PSNI detectives in Coleraine have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a report of a serious assault in the Causeway Coast and Glens area on Tuesday 09 May. Shortly before 9.50am, a 31-year-old man was found seriously injured at a house in the Drumawillin Park area of Ballycastle.

Man questioned in connection with McGurk murder
Police are questioning a 42-year-old man in connection with the ongoing inquiry into the murder of a Belfast man in August. Danny McGurk, 35, was shot dead outside his Ross Road home in the lower Falls area of west Belfast. Mr McGurk's wife and some of his children were also at home when he was killed.

Fourth person arrested in McGurk murder
A fourth person has been arrested by police investigating the murder of Danny McGurk at the weekend. Three men and a woman are now being questioned by police after the father-of-six was shot dead outside his Ross Road home in the lower Falls area of west Belfast on Sunday.
