Man Arrested Over Paramilitary Style Shooting In North Belfast

A 51-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a paramilitary style shooting in north Belfast.

The victims, aged in his 20s, was attacked in an alleyway between Sheridan Street and Donore Court on Monday, 09 May.

The suspect is being detained in police custody.

Investigation Launched Into 'Paramilitary Style Shooting'
The PSNI have launched an investigation after a man was shot in both legs on Sunday. It is understood that a 24-year-old was in a "paramilitary style shooting" in Flax Street, north Belfast. He is being treated in hospital, where his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

PSNI Appeal For Information About West Belfast Shooting
The PSNI have appeal for witnesses to or any one with any information about a shooting incident in west Belfast on Wednesday night. A man was shot in the leg at Creeslough Gardens at around 21:30 on Wednesday night. It is understood that victim is in his 40s and his injuries are not life threatening.

Teenage boy shot in north Belfast
A teenager has been taken to hospital following a paramilitary-style shooting in north Belfast last night. The 16-year-old boy, who was shot in both knees, was found in Ashfield Gardens at around 8pm. Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Man shot in paramilitary style shooting
A man in his forties was injured during a paramilitary style shooting incident in east Belfast last night. Police have said that the man was walking along the junction between London Street and London Road, close to the Ravenhill Road area of the city, at around 7.20pm when he was approached by a man who shot him a number of times in the legs.

Man Arrested In Connection With INLA Shooting In North Belfast
Detectives from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force have arrested a man in north Belfast in connection with an investigation into criminality linked to the Irish National Liberation Army (INLA). The arrest is in connection with a shooting incident in Antrim Road area on Wednesday, 31st May 2023.
