Voters Make Their Way To Polls For Assembly Election
Voters are making their way to polling stations across Northern Ireland to cast their vote in the Assembly elections.
The stations are open from 7am today, 05 May, and will close at 10pm.
In total 276 candidates are fighting for 108 seats in NI's 18 constituencies.
Voters should mark their ballot with 1, 2, and 3 and so on with 1 being their most favourable choice.
Voters must be aged 18 or over and on the electoral register.
Green Party leader Steven Agnew said: "Voting in the Assembly election is one of the most important things you can do. Your vote matters and with it, you can change Stormont and how Northern Ireland is governed."

Voters were going to the polls today to elect representatives for the Northern Ireland's Legislative Assembly. Over one million people are entitled to vote in the election being held today, which has 256 candidates vying for the 108 MLA (Members of the Legislative Assembly) seats spead across the 18 constituencies.

People Urged To 'Send A Message' On 18 May
Naomi Long has called on voters across Northern Ireland to "to send a message to those holding the political institutions to ransom" by voting Alliance at the upcoming council elections on 18 May. Mrs Long made the call as she launched her party's election manifesto, which she said focuses on the "issues that matter to people".

Charities urge voters to put children on political agenda
Two of the largest children’s charities in Northern Ireland have joined forces to urge voters to push Assembly candidates into improving the welfare of children. Barnardo’s and NSPCC said that while they were happy with many of the parties' manifestos for next week's elections, there was still a great deal to be done.
